George the Hornblower receives the Citizens Award on his retirement for his Stirling service and work as the RIPON CITY HORNBLOWER since 2004
AFTER THE HIS RETIREMENT IN 2015 THE RESPONSIBILITY OF SETTING THE WATCH AND OTHER DUTIES WILL NOW BE CARRIED OUT BY A TEAM ON A JOB SHARE BASIS. WILL IT THEREFORE BE RECORDED THAT GEORGE PICKLES WAS THE LAST SINGULARY HOLDER OF THE POST OF RIPON CITY HORNBLOWER.?
